The Evangelical Environmental Network’s Statement on The Announcement to Reduce Public Lands

Statement by Rev. Mitch Hescox:

On behalf of the 900,000 supporters of EEN’s work, our staff, and our Board, I want to thank Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and his colleagues, Senators Kirk (R-IL), Ayotte (R-NH), Portman (R-OH), and Collins (R-ME), for the introduction on the Senate floor of a statement affirming that climate change is real and that “human activity contributes to climate change.”

Statement by Rev. Mitch Hescox:

“This morning the Senate passed overwhelmingly the Energy Policy Modernization Bill, S. 2012, by a vote of 85 to 12.  Senators Murkowski (R-AK) and Cantwell (D-WA) are to be commended for their excellent bipartisan leadership on this resounding vote.”

Yesterday Pennsylvania’s Governor Tom Wolf joined a bipartisan group of 17 Governors, whose states represent over 40% of the US population, in signing an Accord where they pledge to help create a cleaner more prosperous future for our children.
